It was new, they took all the extra's out of the box but the card was still wrapped and the pins had no marks from ever being installed. Its a decent card but I believe my 9800gtx+ even though it only had 512 meg out performed it. I could over clock it I'm sure and get it close but I wont bother, I can't afford a new card right now so I will just run it until I can get a GTX460 or 480 then just keep this one around as a backup.
