GeIL Polaris RGB SYNC DDR5 4800 MHz On Sale Now at Newegg

Yesterday, Newegg began listing GeIL Polaris RGB SYNC DDR5 4800 MHz ram kits for $350 before quickly going out of stock. The kits offered are available in red, black, or white and are packaged as a 32GB (2×16 GB) set. Newegg is getting a headstart before the launch of Intel’s upcoming 12th Gen Core CPUs, which should be arriving in the coming weeks. XPG Overclocks DDR5 to 8,118 MT/s

On Saturday, XPG announced it had successfully overclocked one of its DDR5-4800 MHz memory kits to an astonishing 8,118 MT/s. This marks the first DDR5 memory kit to be overclocked to such a high speed and shows XPG’s dedication to the overclocking community. The XPG ram used to accomplish this great feat featured SK Hynix DRAM modules with the CAS# Latency loosened to 50 clocks. That’s only 8 clocks lower than one of its JEDEC specifications.
