I read the guide and went through it and here are my current settings. I am still very very new at all of this and would love some advice as it seems like Something is not quiet right. I am not looking to hit 4ghz, mainly just sit around 3.8 or so as this system will be on 24/7 for the most part. Looks like I may have my Vcore set a bit higher then I need and well. here is a screenshot!

Made some progress, here is where I am not. Any advice? On another site I was told to adjust my IOH core to 1.2 down from 1.3 and set my load lne calibratin to Level 2

Looks fine to me. Glad to see someone with the same board :)

Thanks for checking it over. I know I could push it to 4.0 but really do not need to. Running CPU for 30 minutes now the temps are setting at an average of 65c-66c with the highest being 68c. Thinking I might be able to drop my core just a bit more. Going to do an 8 hour push test and see how she does.

Also curious about the QPI core, but I guess if it is not broke I should just leave it be!
 
You may be getting extra heat from the IOH and ICH temps...so change the voltages to:

IOH - 1.1
ICH - 1.2 - I think this is the lowest :)

This will take some heat off the North and South Brigdes. I have mine set that way

Ok set IOH coreto 1.1 my ICH core is set to 1.1 at the current time as well [I just took it off AUTO].


and that did get rid of a red light I had on my mobo! nice! Do have a random green light on but not going to worry about that

Cool. This will really help keep the North Bridge at a decent temp...should be about 47-52°C - under stress i've seen a max of 63°C. The only problem with this board that i've had ever since i bought it was the NB temp. If you google the forums for this board, a lot of people RMA'd this board because of the heat...thinking it was a broken - oops.

while I was in there I also dropped my Vcore a bit more too, back to the tests!


right now 25 minutes in average temp is 62-64 :D overclocked to 3.8. Very happy with that! Now time for an 8 hour test!
