I'd like to get a nice poll going here. It would have helped me if there was one existing so this is for all those who "just want to know"
200-210
211-220
221-230
231-240
241-250
251-up

Here is why I want to know:
I have the VDD mod and 3.3-3.4v on my ram. I also have the mosfet mod 5v so it pulls the power thru a dedicated wire instead of the ATX connector. this improved my 5v line. went from 4.7 to 4.9ish average. VDD is at 1.9v, HS on NB and SB. Fan over NB.

I set the multi to 10x and can run FSB up to 252 to post. Chip is 2640mhz stable at 220 * 12 so its not too overclocked. Anyhow, 246 is the highest it can make through Memtest. I can even load windows fine. However, within 5 min it will reboot spontaneously. Upon reboot says recovered from a serious error.

I have been wondering if maybe my powersupply (350w enermax) cannot deliver the 5v amperage necessary (this board takes vcore through the 5v line), or the A7N8X boards do not like anything above 220ish.

So, is it my powersupply or is it impossible to run a A7N8X 2.0 at 240+ FSB stabily????

Thanks.

I've personally heard as far as 225 stable

Well a big point is, if I can boot at 252, would I lose 25mhz just to get stable??

Did some testing last night. i dropped the multi as low as it would go and i can only get 230 FSB prime stable. raised the multi to 11.5 (*230 fsb) to get my max OC of ~2640 MHz.

see my sig. 230

Did you need to do the VDD mod to reach that?

Seems 230 is my max stable too. 232 was prime stable, and 3dmark stable, but it rebooted when I started playing music. :-/

No vmod. MOD3 bios allow me to lower my multiplier on CPU Mobile and now I can hit higher FSB speeds. The 230 FSB is with 2226 timings. If I loosen timings, I can hit higher.

I also have the mod3 bios. I have the 3.3v mod on my memory and it is Memtest+ stable at 246 (thats as high as it will go without locking memtest.) It took the VDD volt mod just to get above 200fsb shortly after I first bought it (when they came out) but with better bios's i can boot to 250. Blah just random thoughts here. :/

for this board.. it won't go over 256... because that the end of it... 255 is max out... anything over will be back to 0MHZ.... I able to push my +2600 mobile to 2805 ( 255 x 11) with 2.05 vcore and 2.05 chipset volt. with pc4000 geil memory. I boot up fine with 255 x 11. but will got error when prime95. I think my 5v line 4.7 unload really cause unstable. I will mod the 5 volt line see what happen.. :) anyway, to answer your question.. this board only go up to 255. but bios let u do 300 which didn't make any different. because it will back to 0MHz.... damn asus engineer only make it a 8 bits line :argue:

I am at 235 x 10 with P95 stable. I have vdimm MOD installed with 3.0 volts. I can load windows with 240 but it is not stable with P95.

Memtest86 v 3.1 I can do 241 with 1.81 Vcore and 3.0 Vdimm with 2-2-2-6 timings. That is the max I can do and I am runinng dual channels.

stable at

i got my 2500m last night so i can only say so far i'm stable 210x12.5 but in time i hop i can push the front side a little more.
