Are you using .5 multipliers on your cpu like 9.5 or 8.5 etc ?

If so that will change your mem speed to something you might not expect it to be.

Hey I have a question are you guys that are getting 240's on your overclocks on 3200 ram are you using dividers or is that a1:1 overclock I just won a setup on ebay and want to OC when it comes in.

Assume 3000+ NC at 2400 MHz,

if CPU_multiplier of 10 is used, FSB = 240 MHz,
using memory_FSB_ratio of 1:1, some PC3200 (such as modules with BH5) with high Vdimm ~ 3.3 V may make it.
But one can run memory_FSB_ratio of 5:6, FSB will be 200 MHz at which all PC3200 should make it (at spec).

If the chip can run at 2500 MHz, FSB at 250 MHz,
with 5:6, the FSB would be at 208 MHz, most PC3200 should have no problem doing this.

If the chip can run at 2600 MHz, FSB at 260 MHz,
with 5:6, the FSB would be at 217 MHz, most PC3200 should have a good chance doing this with sufficient Vdimm. PC3500 modules are running at spec at this memory bus frequency.

There is minimum impact of memory performance, namely the bandwidth efficiency, running non 1:1 ratio in A64 systems.
