Can drivers affect over-clocking ?

My rock has 2 cores!

I mean the best example right now would be to look at the new 2900XT. I think the new drivers increased it's score by like 10-20% in some cases. I'm sure ViperJohn would love to tell you how it effected his OC.

Dude dual-core rocks are nothing compared to my quad-quad-cores.

I'm glad it went far like this, now I know that some drivers I used made some of my OC's seem less stable then it currently is with the 160.02's (the best drivers I've tried myself so far between four). Thanks a lot for your ... debates, heated exchange of ideas guys
