cold plate question

Do I need to lap the coldplate that I'm going to receieve from Dangerden??

If so, to what grit should I do it to?

well i have good experience with 1200 grit and oil.
but wait and see how the plate looks. it should bee good enough?

A bigger concern would be getting the clamping pressure
high enough. It's much higher than the CPU clamping pressure.
