Dead CMOS battery symptons

Besides having to reset the time and date what other symptons will a dead CMOS battery give you...Thanks for any information:)
 
used to be a checksum error on boot, dont know anymore as havent seen one die in a while
 
That only used to be an issue with very old motherboards. They usually use an accumulator instead of a battery these days. It charges up whenever the computer is on, and so never runs out of juice. ....Unless you leave it off for a few years. :D

Checksum Error ..... Oh I have that too !!!! Could you please tell me what Checksum Error entails ??? Thanks for the reply's
