DS Lite vs. PSP

Well I've owned my PSP back since April time frame. The first couple weeks I had 2 games this summer I added 2 more. Just 2 weeks ago I added 3 to my collection and I could easily get a 4th but thats just adding it up to much right now.

I love the features the options with the PSP and even the firmware updates are mostly useful adding new features. The systems potential isn't fully used even yet with the processor only at 266 out of 333Mhz total for the system. Its more powerful then the PS2 yet theres not games out to show its potential. As for battery life it does last a long time suprisingly as how many say its a short one.

I've played the DS before not alot but a little cusion of mine has one and I've tried it out. While yes it was kid games but still. I didn't like the feel for it and even though the touch screen idea is nice, its not my cup of tea. Not to many games I'm intrested in but the Metriod and Mario ones is what I'd get if I had one.

PSP has its downside as well with me to, mainly sorry to say but it could be much thicker. I get craps after a few hours of playing it just due to hand position mainly. As well the UMD movies are basically useless, never had one but seen some in action, and all I can say, whoopie its a stripped DVD no features basic settings for it.

I was talking more or less...transferring episodes of xxx show over to your PSP to watch them or other...misc...files. But the DVD UMDs at the right price I'd go for.

btw xxx doesnt mean porn....just for 'insert your movie here' - although, it could be used for that...hmmm

lol, yes it could.

In fact, there was suposed to be some Penthouse thing released for the PSP if I recall correctly (not XXX, but naked women still).

Naked women has always been a good thing in my book. Total selling point IMHO for the PSP LOL.

just typed this from my psp in vegas. yet another thing the ds cant do

I got a PSP when it launched, but there were just to few good games for it. For a long time UMDs were costing more than DVD's, that just annoyed hell out of me. I think just now is it starting to really have some solid games and be worth while. But I think it just took to long. Mine sat dead for months at a time with no interrest in picking it up. So off it went to trade in city.

I got the DS Lite now and I'm more than happy with it. Can't compete on the screen picture thats for sure, man the PSP is crisp and tasty! But it sat dead with no charge for months at a time with no interrest in hauling that thing around. My DS goes EVERYWHERE with me. It was made for ppl who wear cargo pants!

NSMB, FF3, Castlevania PoR, Starfox, Mario Cart, etc are A+ titles and worth the cost of the system easy. The new Zelda game coming is going to be sweeeeet.

Personally I am hoping Sony has a PSP2 that'll be out in a couple years. I might give it another try then. You know Nintendo will have a new portable console on the way soon. The DS was never even supposed to be a successor for the GBA, just a new portable gaming platform. So the next GB could really up the ante.

Aw yeah! I'm playing through Zelda: Minish Cap (again) on my DS in anticipation. As for other GBA games I grabbed, Final Fantasy I&II was a good deal, but I got stuck and couldn't progress any further...actually, I lost my airship in one of my save games after not playing it for awhile and forgetting where I parked it. Doh! I also got the Mario Kart for GBA before the DS version came out, it reminds me of the Super Nintendo version. I hear the Metroid game for GBA was good, but I haven't had a chance to play it. I got hopelessly lost in Metroid Prime: Hunters, much as I did in the Gamecube version...every hallway started looking the same. :bang head

hmmm browser is still only in japanese =[
do ya'll know if they are going to do an update/new revision of the DS in early 2007? if so, i may hold off buying one now.

really? how?

Was the link I put in my post to the Opera Browser for the DS too subtle, brother? ;)

Opera Browser for the Nintendo DS allows browsing of web pages and posting of comments in threads on forums and the viewing of porn while on-the-go. Unfortunately, it is not a free add-on but then again, the Opera browser isn't free. The functionality is there, however.
