Fun With Peltiers! Looking for Ideas

Hey everyone,

If you were looking for a thread concerning computer cooling, you found the wrong thread

I recently read a few articles about cooling drinks w/ TECs/peltiers (same thing of course). And it got me thinking, what else might be fun to use TECs for?

So, does anyone have any cool ideas, or easy to make, but interesting applications for TECs? I'm thinking of making a beverage cooler, but I thought that there must be some other stuff I could do with these things, their so damn cheap!

You could use a lot of em to make an ice skating rink As if it wasn't cold enough already...

you could make a heat shield for the turbo in your car out of them, and use the energy they generate to lessen the draw of the alternator

I've actually read on an ebay listing that you can use TECs to make a heat shield for RC cars...I thought that was interesting.
