hard drive runs cooler when mounted upside down!

I read that article and I tried mounting my hd upside down (controller board on top) and the idle temps were the same but the loaded temps were always 2c-3c less than when it was in the "normal" position! Anyone else tried this? I may as well go get a HC-350 since they're so cheap

that is really odd, hehe. i wouldn't run mine upside down, dunno
what that can do in the long run, probably wouldn't hurt anything.

any HDD cooler would be fine, they are all pretty much the same.
i have a dual fan one that is quiet and seems to work great.

mine are just mounted behind the front intake fan. they stay cooler than the mobo temp.

Might have to try that, mine are mounted up in my 5 1/4 bays with those triple fan face plates in front of them
