HD Pin settings

I just got a maxtor 5400 40 gig HD. All looks good but it has strange jumper pin settings (the jumpers are in the shape of an L) Is this the appropriate setting for master? There isn't a setting guide on the drive.

That is normal for a Maxtor.

It didnt come with a book? Did you check their website? Are you sure there isnt a sticker on it that has a picture of what the jumper settings are every drive I have seen has a sticer on it.

Here's a pic from a PDF on their site. I always use the cable select configuration because I don't like to play with the jumpers when I want to change a drive from master to slave.
Here's which style is which (o = pin, x = no pin) If there's a jumper over an empty space, it's just there so it doesn't get lost.
Style A:
