Intel 10nm compared to Globalfoundries 7nm. Seems they are very close to each other fore a density point of view.
On Wednesday December 6th, the Circuit and Device Interaction - Advanced Platform Technologies session was held, and Intel presented their 10nm technology and GLOBALFOUNDRIES (GF) presented their 7nm technology. Despite the different node names, the two processes have similar density. In this article I will combine previous disclosures, interviews and the papers to present a detailed comparison of these two leading edge technologies.

I saw that here as well. Should be interesting in that it would be an acknowledgement that they need to rethink their product stack and cash flow going forward.

If the existing 10nm plans are so broken, it may well be the better long term strategy to bin it and start on the next thing. There will be some short term pain as they enter constraint, but the elevated pricing could offset that, depending on how well AMD takes advantage to take a bite out of Intel's pie.

Edit:

Intel twitter states they have NOT killed 10nm, no change of plan.
