need advice, gonna order a 9500...

hello im new to this forum and after searching through some of the pages you guys really seem to know what your talking about.

Well my ti4200 is starting to act a little dated and I want to order a new video card. I definetly am going for a 9500 "something".

I heard that some 9500 non-pros can be modded to a 9700, Im thinking of getting this card...

anyone had any modding experiences with it? If I go for this card and it cant be modded to a 9700, can it still be modded to a 9500 pro? I ask this cause i cant decide if I should just go for a 9500 pro right now and not worry about modding the card. If this card cant be modded to a 9500 pro, I think im just gonna get a 9500 pro to be safe cause Ive heard that they "Whoop ***" on a 9500 non-pro.

That specific 9500 can be modded to a 9700...as long as u dont run into the checkboard artifacts that about 30% of ppl get.

see the circuit city add this week? 299 for a 9700 pro, if your gonna get 200 for a 9500 go for the extra 100 and get a 9700 pro, also welcome to the forums
