Temps at idle mean nothing because the sensor is inaccurate until over 40c.
If Netflix or a movie is the only thing that makes it crash, I would look more into a software or GPU driver problem.

It's not netflix or a driver crash. It's a low volt system hang without blue screens. If there was an error that caused the crash, he could display the windows error log. Typically a system hang leaves no error to report besides a bad restart.
