Just beat the game -- bottomline for me: the ending sucked, final boss was kewl, graphics were much better than I predicted before the game came out, gameplay was dissapointing... can't wait for Half Life 2.... NOW ITS TIME TO CHEAT AND USE MODS LIKE HELL IN THE MEAN TIME

What tweaks have you done delljunk to make that game run that smoothly on the 9800 pro? I can barely run mine at 1024x768 @ high.

Well yours is o/ced almost to the same core and memory speeds, so that's not the difference.

It runs without any tweaks, but I messed with the cfg file (make a backup first)

set image_useCache "1"
set image_cacheMegs "256"
set image_cacheMinK "20480"

set image_downSizeBumpLimit "512"
set image_downSizeBump "1"

and I opened console with ctrl+alt+~ and typed: set com_videoRam "128"

just to get loading times to go quicker and less pauses when opening doors

oh yeah and your cpu will suffice, but i'm 800 mhz ahead (which does make a difference, I have a friend that has 2.4ghz and I can tell a difference between even 400 mhz)

no problem.

I'm workin on my first level.One thing to remember is try not to create leaks.One problem I ran into was the tool bar going to far to the right.
to get to the Doom3 icon just left click and drag it down and make it taller and
it will appear.
Doom3world editing knowledge database.

I found out the 'big secret' about the "Martian Buddy" e-mails and the code they give you on the web site. :santa:

There is a locker in Delta Labs 3. It is inside a storage room. If you look at the red code-pad, it says "brought to you by Martian Buddy" and has the logo on it.
Use the Code from Martian Buddy site to get into the locker

I doubt i'm the first one to find this, but I haven't seen any posts about it.

Do you guys still play doom after you beat the game? I played multiplayer once afterwards but overall I think once you beat it, there isn't much left to do.

Hey peeps just wondering if you help me out here. I am stuck pretty bad on Monorail i`m trying to find the Delta Labs but i just keep going up and down the lift and there is a door upstairs and a door d/stairs that i can`t get into.

Any help much appreciated

If you look on the right of the controll panel for the rail-cart. you can raise and lower it.
get the cart next to the overhead cat-walk. and raise it. you can then jump onto it from the cart.
(dunno if my explination makes sence... but if not, lemme know.)

I've seen a wide range of opinions on this game. Anything from it sucks its not scary etc. to best looking game ever etc. I gotta say I was in the it sucks category at first. I was playing it on my brothers computer which barely meets the minimun requirements. Playing it at 640x480 with all the effects turned off and crappy stereo. Well I recently got my computer up and running again and now I gotta say this game is a whole lot more fun and scary for sure. Playing it home alone with the lights off with the 5.1 sound at a much higher detail... The system you play on and the environment around you really makes a difference for this game.

I am going to have to join the its not scary group, and I have played it on my system at 1024x768 high settings with 2x aa and its still not scary (while the 'hell' level was pretty freaky) I don't think the game sucks its just less my style, I think its to dark.

is the doom95 cheat bs or can someone explain to me how it works

Hey tall dallas i know the bit you`re talking about and i`ve already done that bit where u raise the cart i`m further on now looking for the delta labs and there isn`t a railway line or cart in sight.

The bit i mean i think you had to turn off the pumps or something via the controls up the stairs but its the level just after the one where u raise the cart and after that your objective is to find the delta labs.

I'd hit a walkthrough online or something.
don't spoil any levels after that... jsut check out that level it's self.
