:welcome: to the forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Well I might as well do this;

My name is Nehru Becirovic and as you can tell by my name I'm not USA native. I was born in Easter Europe Bosnia lived there for short time then moved to Croatia and finally six years ago to the greatest country in the world the one and only USA (you guys have it so good :p ). Been living in Jacksonville FL ever since then and I love it. Don't have as many friends as I had in Europe but that's ok since I wouldn't have time for them anyways because I'm busy most of the times.

I'm 21 right now, about 6'5" 195lbs and as you can tell by my height I do play Basketball and have been whole my life. BB is where I came from as to what Football is here, so you get the picture.

Beside that I love computers and spend allot of time behind one. I currently work at FCCJ as a tech support and most of the time I spent there is behind a computer screen posting on the forums (that's why I have so many posts). Currently I'm finishing up my degree in Computer Networking cause that's one area of computing that I wanted to learn more about and after that I will be going off for degree in computer information at University of North Florida so kinda have double major thing going on and hopefully masters degree after that.

I love learning about new stuff and if possible I would take another major but it would just be to hard to keep a track off.

As you can tell by my rank I'm a RAM junky and hope to break into it's industry one day. I learned allot of stuff over the years about it and keep learning, but as of right now I'm trying to get everything down to the last detail as how computers operate in relation with other hardware especially RAM. Pretty much got the numbers (Dec, Bin and Hex) down thanx to my Network Class which does help allot.

OCForums did play a big part in all the stuff that I learned and I only wish that I could give back as much, so I help other people when they need helping.

That's pretty much it for now, cheers

I'd just like to take this chance to thank everyone here... Those who have offered me advice, those who have asked questions leading me to finding something new, and those who have set an example for me to follow.

Best as I can tell looking at my old post searches, this is 3 years I've spent here now, and I'm still trying to give back all I've taken away!

Hello all,

My name is Travis and I hail from the Westcoast. Specifically California and Oregon. I'm not the biggest on overclocking, but I mostly "play" with AMD systems. I'm a big fan of Opterons, Venices, the new X2s, and the old XPs, heck, any AMD is cool stuff to me.

I like the idea of unlocked multipliers. I haven't really used anything other than air cooling, because it makes the most sense to me.

Most of the time you can find me studying, reading, or just plain living and enjoying life. Most of all I enjoy the news and tech news.

See y'all around!

Hi everyone :)

My name is Tom and i come from Stoke on Trent in the UK. I'm 23 years old, a recent graduate with a masters degree in electronic engineering, specialising in embedded systems with a focus on digital design using ASIC and microcontrollers. I love interfacing digital systems to the real world and the associated problems this causes. Whilst it is not my career choice i find the field of microelectronics very interesting. Im also becoming interested in control systems which was a subject i detested at university, but when you actually want to make something "work" most things become better.

Whilst im searching for a career with a good company i work in a motorway service station making coffee for just above the minimum wage. My current place of work is described as "the black hole of dreams" :D

For the past 3 years ive had an interest in computer refrigeration, ive built several single stage units and im in the process of building my first cascaded system.

Im a member of a few forums and a co-administrator of www.pclincs.co.uk which is a small but very friendly forums.

Likes:

-Learning something new.
-Building things with the above :D
-My friends.

Dislikes:

-People who put others down, especially when they do it to impress.
-The morning in general, nothing good comes of it.
-Spending money, not so much the spending but more the having to work in "the black hole of dreams" to get it.

Ive been a member of OC forums for a while, but only an active member for the past two weeks or so -Glad to be here! :)

Tom

Hey, my name is Matt. I am a full time college student...not much longer, though. I'm 20, soon to be 21. I study English and am minoring in German. I have used computers since I can remember. I had a commodore64, vic20, IBM clone with a styrofoam monitor. I could do DOS better than anyone. Anyway, I am still doing computers alot.

I work for the computer lab up at school. It's not that exciting, I just answer questions like "where is the stapler?" and "why isnt the printer working?" But in the summer I work at a farm...yup, a farm...in Connecticut.

I just recently discovered folding and have a full time folder and use my everyday pc as a part time folder. Come on, if you're gonna OC a pc, use it! Anywho, thats me.

Greetings!
My name is godfoot and I came over here to OCForums initially to contact Silversinksam.
I just wanted to say I like the layout of the site and you guys got some good info here.
I'll probably lurk and read for a while before posting much more though.... cheers!

Hello.
I'm Nenad, 21 years old, second year of Computer Science at the EPFL university in Switzerland.
I'm a constant learner, always here to grab some new knowlege. Would have loved to live in those times where a life time was enough to learn every thing known to man, but then again there wasn't computers back then, so what the hell... Exept for computers (obviously) my passions would sum up in something like this: females, parties, cigars, luxe... erm yeah it's a bad idea to try to write them all down...
Oh and I have a collection of CPUs :) (burnt or not). My am386 DX DXL-33 has a special place in it as my very first victim.

Any way, I've been reading these forums for years now, but for some strange reason I haven't registerd till now... registering somewhere is a big step for me. And yeah I am paranoiac. Any way, I am here now. Here to help, get helped, and learn. Hope we'll get to burn plenty of stuff together :)

First, hello everyone. I've been here for a couple weeks now and just saw this thread. It's refreshing to see another well moderated forum on the Web. I'll pop in once a day for your two cents aswell as to give mine. I can't go a single day without learning something new and so far this forum has filled that role admirably. Most of my main knowledge is in the hardware arena, but haven't done a boatload of OCing. However, software doesn't scare me either. I've done a little Linux, more than the average Joe, but I'm no expert. The only thing I know better than hardware is networking. "Nobody knows everything" is my biggest belief, so I will never degrade anyone who has put time into researching what they say, as I always try to do the same. My name is Chris. I have a Wife who is joining the US Navy in January and a cat that weighs 23 lbs. The bigger the better. Well, nuff said...feel free to pm me for anything but advertisement.

Hello there, thought it would be time for me to say Hi around here :)

I've been reading these forums for well over a month now and I wanted to compliment on the huge amount of information here, so far just by reading posts here I've allready learned more about computers and PC hardware in the last month then in the 19 years (that's my age  ) before that.

The reason I need all this information is because I want to buy a new computer sometime this year, but I'll make a seperate thread for that when the time comes. For now I'll just continue reading and perhaps post a few times if I feel I got something to add or if I got a question.

cheers!

I'm SkuToV, no that's not my real name, my parents don't like me to use my real name on things like this (No idea why) My real name is Robbie.

I've got quite an intrest in computers in general and I'm here pretty much to expand my small ampount of kowledge.

Ive been a member now for just about a year and working on my 4th star...

My name is Nathaniel W.
I chose the nick name of Dusnoetos because it describes me well. It means: Hard to understand (http://strongsnumbers.com/greek/1425.htm). I am not normal.....but not all that strange. I just turned 30 ( July 15 - the "powers that be" with in the forum sent me a happy birthday email - my parents forgot:mad:).

I moved to the Twin Cities last August so I could attend Northwestern college, I am pursuing a bachelor degree in Youth/Urban Ministry. My goal is to work with troubled youth (since I use to be one...)

My Wife (of 2+years) and I have a beautiful 13 week old daughter. And I get to be a stay-at-home dad:bday:.

I sorta have a Handyman business (I have a tax ID...) called QuickFix Handyman. Unfortunately due to school and a back injury I have not done any real jobs since moving.

My hobbies include: Wire sculpture, building/modifying & repairing loud speakers (I have a knack for replacing dry rotted foam surounds.....HINT HINT) Ever since junior high I have loved messing with computers. My first system was:
A Magnavox 386sx 16mhz with a Cyrix 486 overchip. 16 MB memory, 500MB HDD and a 2mb VGA ISA card. And last but not least a Soundblaster AWE32. I played Wolfenstein 3D late in to the night driving my parents batty (and not getting my homework done).

I ran across the forum while tying to get a straight answer on a case...(after being laughed away at some other computer forums)

Since I can't make a new thread in here, can't find an existing thread, and don't have access to General Discussion, I might as well just go ahead and post this in here. It's my last post anyways...

Yes, this is a goodbye post. I've gotten some good tips and help from several members over time (this being the result :)), but I've finally lost interest in overclocking.

The burn-in process and choosing the right cooling is just too time consuming, and I don't think that the extra wear & tear it puts on the components is really worth it. IMO, it's just a lot easier for me to spend a few extra dollars on better parts if I want more power.

I'm trying to get rid of my internet addiction anyways, so it's best if I post on as few forums as possible.

So, g'bye all, and keep on clockin'!

P.S. This seems to fit right in with my post... ;)

P.P.S. CRT pwns LCD! :D

Well, I am Chance in case people haven't figured out by now. I am going to be fresh meat in high school (yes that is high school) at a whopping 14 years of age! :D Been oc'ing for a cool 6ish months and have found my true love on here. Like the usual junkie, I am now obsessed with having close if not top notch performance parts and that excites me. So far, just trying to get through high school and since I play football maybe take that somewhere.
