WANTED: 2x256 pc2400 2-2-2 memory

From what little research I have done, I have found that basically corsair, micron, and mushkin offer decent pc2400 ram, but have been having difficulty finding out smaller details about it. What I am looking for is a couple 256 meg sticks of pc2400 ram running at 2-2-2.

My next question: Does cas2 mean the memory runs at 2-2-2, or could it mean it runs at 2-3-3 or 2.5-3-3? The corsair memory says its cas2, but I am not completely sure what that means.

Also, notice I want 2 DIMMS. I have read that people have problems using 2 dimms of corsair pc2400 sometimes. Would these problems occur on an asus a7m266?

By the way, I'm hoping to spend under $70 US for each DIMM ($140 total), so please avoid pointing me to that friggin expensive buffered amd 761 verified, super mega pocket emptier stuff.

If cheap 2-2-2 pc2400 does not exist in my price range, what pc2100 memory is 2-2-2 and easily overclockable on my system?

While I have tons of questions, I'll add one more: I'm looking for a quiet massive cfm pusher to mount on the side of my case. Anyone have any good 120mm+ or centripedal fans in mind or places I can find them? I'm hoping to get away with just plugging that into a molex connector

hey, just go to www.pricewatch.com they have all the best prices around, you should be able to get a good deal on 2400 or 2100 whichever you prefer
kingston ram is quite good, overclockable too

Thats acutally one of the places I already checked out. What it didn't answer was which of the memory modules are 2-2-2. The only one I found ona web site that specifically stated 2-2-2 instead of cas2 was mushkin and it was pc2100 that was damn expensive. I'm hoping to find pc2400 2-2-2, or even possibly crucial pc2100 if it is 2-2-2

PC2400 is a little difficult to get, especially like the one you want. Munskin PC2400 is rated at 2-3-3. Seems that COrsair also have the same raitings.

As far as I know there is no one that could warranty a PC2100 stick can run at 150 MHz at 2-2-2 settings.

The catch here is this. Or you buy a PC2400 with high latency as warranty and hope that you can use more agressive settings with it, or buy a 2-2-2 PC2100 and prays that it's a good oc.

The other thing you could try is to get DDR333, but I think it's quite expensive.

They rate it at 2.5-3-3. But if you are lucky can make it run 2-2-2.
