Avg. Time / Frame : 3mn 06s - 7803.87 ppd

GTX260 shaders @ 1512MHz

From the linked threads;

That would fall under the varying time per frame category. ;)

Yeah, I knew that already, I was just giving that brief explanation so people would know my estimation might be wacky. I was trying to avoid a "WHAT? My 8800GT is only getting 1500PPD!" from somebody who hadn't read.

Does anybody know if this lowers power consumed? I know when both my GPUs are running 5900s the power drops down quite a bit. Nobody else seemed to notice though.

I can tell if my cards are running Core 14 just by listening now. The temps don't get up high enough to make the fans go crazy :).

They weren't kidding that frame times vary!

I didn't mention it, but I also noticed that my GPU temps have dropped while running the 5902s. In fact, they have dropped by 5-10C. :) Which is very good, because it is starting to get warm in my office. Temps in Atlanta are in the high 70s, and I'm not ready to turn my AC on yet.

If you check the linkage above, it indicates that p5900 units should be available to all donors. While p5902 units should be issued to those GPU clients running -advmethods.

Sorry... was on the BlackBerry waiting at the doctor's office this morning (I was bored). Did not see the linkage. ;)

I still haven't seen even a 5900 based on FahMon... let alone these 5902 WUs. Got some farm cultivation to do tonight. We'll see what kinda seeds get planted. :)

That 5902 that was showing 12000ppd in Fahmon? Finished in 3hr 22min!

I think it was folding using both cores on that card!

I did notice with the 5900's my GPU is at 65 degrees C instead of the normal 70 or so.

I did not set -advmethods flag to any of my GPU client (using GUI version), yet I'm still getting 5900 and 5902....... however, not that I'm complaining since much lower (5-10c!) core temp is very welcome!

I wonder if Stanford is planning to release more large-size GPU WU's in the future. I would think that it would greatly reduce the load on their servers, since it would take 6-12 hours to finish a WU instead of 1-4 hours.

Checked my rigs this evening, and it appears that they have released another large GPU WU, the 5903. Frame times appear to be the same as the 5902.

+1, I got a couple as well. Good for temps!

Double that... I never got around to adding -advmethods to any of my clients either. But I'm getting these WUs now as well.

Lower heat 5900 WU's

The 5900 WU's are taking 10.8a to 15.2a on the HBRig (now 3x GTX 260 /216's) Where the 511 WU's pulled a constant 10.5a on the topside for 2 x 260 /216's. The draw just jumps up and down constantly.

5903 is out...1680 is its value.

With gtx 260 216 @ 650/1512/1100 takes about 3m:10s /frame. Says 7.5k ppd but i did overclock it in the middle of the 3 frames... maybe a bit more, will update.

I bought one of those "Kill a Watt" meters from Newegg, and my 2 rigs combined use on average 650 watts. And I am seeing the same thing that you are, the load is constantly swinging from 600 to 700 watts while running the 59xx WUs.
