Will This RAM work?

Well I have decided on the OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Gold VX (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_el_ddr_pc_4000_gold_vx)
Will it work in my motherboard. Yes I know its rated faster than what my mobo supports but it has good lats and will provide headroom for OC so should the RAM downclock on my board without any probs? Thanks

Yes, RAM is backwards compatible and will work at a speed lower than what it is rated for. The rating is the maximum the manufacturer guarantees it will work at, similar to CPUs. CPUs will run slower than rated speeds quite happily, but pushing them faster is hit and miss. Same with RAM.
