Windows gadgets and prime

Has anyone had any issues with having desktop gadgets open when running a prime blend?

am guessing it's a good idea to close them all before running.

I just have the speedfan monitor gadget open so I can see all the temps etc, but it has locked up a couple of times with it open - seems fine when closed.
