Earlier this month at CES NZXT unveiled the successor to their excellent HALE90 series, the HALE90 V2. Not perhaps the worlds most creative name, but it does get the point across. In theory we can look forward to even better voltage regulation, tons of power, a bright white paintjob, and general awesomeness. How will it fare in reality? We’ll see soon enough.
The NZXT Phantom 820 is a full tower case, the newest of their Crafted series. It seems to combine the lessons NZXT learned from the original Phantom, along with more they learned from the Switch 810. Throw in their recent HUE color LED controller. And then make the beast compatible not only with their brand-new Kraken series of All-In-One liquid coolers but radiators in general, and you have the makings of a case designed to appeal to high-end enthusiasts. But will it stand up to a detailed scrutiny? Let’s find out.
NZXT has released a sequel to their excellent HALE82 power supply lineup, the HALE82 N Series. We have the 750 W flavor here today. It will get checked out, poked, prodded, abusively tested (twice), ripped to shreds, analyzed, inspected, quantified, and finally given an official Overclockers.com rating.
Going in the heatsink testbed today is a new offering from NZXT, the Havik 120. I tested its older brother, the Havik 140 several months ago and found it to be a pretty decent performer. The design philosophy on this one is just a little bit different than their first offering, so we are going to put it through the mill and see how well it cools a 200+ watt heatload.
