EVGA GTX 970 FTW Graphics Card Review

We’ve recently reviewed several NVIDIA GTX 980 based graphics cards here at Overclockers, and we came away impressed with their low power consumption, great performance, and “bang-for-the-buck” pricing. Today, we’re going to drop it down a notch and have a look at our first GTX 970. More specifically, the EVGA GTX 970 FTW. The factory overclock EVGA applied to the GTX 970 FTW is one of the highest we’ve ever seen, which leads us to believe EVGA is extremely confident in the headroom that’s available on these Maxwell 2 GPUs.

EVGA GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 Graphics Card Review

We finally got our hands on a GTX 980 thanks to the fine folks at EVGA. They were kind enough to send along their Superclocked version featuring the new ACX 2.0 cooler. Based on the NVIDIA Maxwell GM204 GPU, the GTX 980 promises less power consumption than the previous flagship Kepler based GPUs and performance that meets or exceeds them. EK 295×2 Waterblock Review

Good day OCF readers! Today, you are going to get a nice treat with a follow up article about the AMD R9 295×2 I reviewed. This time, its about getting it properly cooled. Part of that equation is with enough radiator, but an even more important part is the water block that cools it. EKWB was kind enough to send us their EK-FC R9-295X2, as well as their backplate so that is half of it… and I have more radiator than what came with the R9 295×2. I expect some good things out of this cooler (and card) since it actively cools the VRMs and the memory. Let’s take a look at see how it worked out!
