The good guys at Vantec were nice enough to send samples of their Slot Protector Kit. These are UV reactive plastic covers that slip over unused RAM and PCI slots. The idea is to thereby protect the slots from dust while also providing some “glow in the dark” mods.
Each package features 8 parts – 3 for RAM slots and 5 for PCI slots. There are five colors available:
Colors: Black, Blue, Green, Yellow and Red
CONCLUSIONS
I would not put these on the essential list, but it’s not a bad idea for those PCs with case windows – better to look at these than empty brown slots.
