I shorted my silverstone power supply, Asus surge protection kicked it. Computer rebooted just fine, but I still wonder if i damaged my rail? Runs BF4 fine..

I'm just wondering if both motherboard and PSU have surge protection to avoid damage, or more so to avoid "further" damage..?

Before you ask; testing fans, open wires, one wire crossed and sparked.

Edit: From website my PSU has these:

Protection
Over current protection
Over power protection
Over voltage protection
Under voltage protection
Over temperature protection
Short circuit protection
No load protection

I'm guessing the PSU is fine, but just checking with the gurus..

Yeah but I might have killed a regulator.. Its a 850watt PSU so i'm not stressing it with maybe 400 watts of draw. Not sure how many regulators provide the current. But if the over current protection is solid, then there should be no damage.
