Still using my old WD 13.6 GB HDD which is only ATA 66...Too slow...
Gonna have to get something new pretty soon, not alot of room left...:D

1 WD 40 gig
---30gigs for XP
---10gigs for Mandrake

1 325Mb Seagate
---Works great for pagefile when I don't have enough money to buy more ram.

60GB IBM, gets hot but the space is worth it. Once i got broardband it went from 1/8 full to 1/2. Partitioned into 5gb windoze, 15gb programs and 40gb *other*. I was thinking of getting another and putting them on raid but the new mobo i wanted wasnt in stock and i had to have the other version of the A7V8X which has no raid :(

LOL

lol i think I beat all of you :) i got 2, yes TWO, 120GB Western Digitals in my rig now :) I download everything that I get my hands on. I got the second HD split 6/10/104 GB ( 6GB for my Documents, 10 GB for Linux, and the rest for downloads and movies :D ). All in all, that gives my a total of 240 TOTAL storage :). Damn- all i need is one more to go along with my CD- Burner and DVD-ROM.

I have:
Maxtor 120gb (usb 2.0) and
Maxtor 80gb (usb 2.0)
IBM 20gb (in laptop)
IBM 10gb (laptop drive in a usb 2.0 mini case)
and 2 more 10gb W/D in the mail
*But I am selling the 80gb because of the 120gb (current load on all drives is about 100gb total used) its in the classifieds section

30 gb maxtor, but it actually had 29 and change; hmm maybe Ralph Nader should look into this.

Hey Decaf, I copied and pasted something that Madman said before. Its quite interesting. Explains why our HDs always say less than what we bouught.

Question: Why does my 80gig hard drive only appear as a 74.5 gig drive in windows.

Answer: Hard drive manufactuers use the decimal system to rate the hard drive witch is 1GB = 1000MB 1MB = 1000KB 1KB = 1000 bytes. the computer bios, and windows use the binary system thus 1GB = 1024MB 1MB = 1024KB 1KB = 1024 bytes. Here is a good way to get a handle on the apparent loss in space, windows will show your hard drive as ~ 93% of the manufactures rated space. Note the size of your hardrive is not different the Manufacturer did not lie for the proof here is the math. Our example 80 GB drive 80 X 1000 X 1000 X 1000 = 80000000000 bytes. 80000000000/1024/1024/1024 = 74.5 GB or (80 X 1000^3)/(1024^3).
