WU = 50K ?

What WU's give 30-50k? Is that the new intel units under ubuntu?

They are the new units for 8 core rigs and Core i7's that can complete them in time.

25k, and if you complete with in 3 days, a bonus 25k. nice

The WUs are really big uploads/downloads and use lots of ram and have a base value of 25403 points. If you fail to earn the bonus, they're not as good as regular SMP WUs. Stanford is testing a bonus scheme that rewards the user for rapid return of the WUs. If adopted for regular SMP WUs it will send us all scrambling for 4 core VM soultions. The formula is:

SQRT(final deadline x constant (2)/timeout)= bonus factor
WU value x bonus factor = WU points

So Mac will get

SQRT(6 x 2 / 2.7) as a bonus factor = 2.1082
25403 x 2.1082 = 53554.23 points awarded
ppd=19834.9
If he fails to meet the bonus requirements below his ppd will be 9408.52


You have to have a passkey and complete 10 WUs in a row within the preferred deadline to receive the bonus.

one note though, if something happens to the wu you could fold fo 2 days the wu gets damaged zero points nada zilch
