Im looking at getting a cooler master haf stacker 935 is that a good case?

Not quite the first enthusiast case I would jump into personally...

I'd be looking at something a little more.... Subtle. Like the Fractal Arc Midi R2.

But cases are very subjective choices... So eh.

Ok well my thing with cases is it must have:
a deep wire channel
hinged side panels
psu on bottom
clear door or window on motherboard side
after that I like the coolermaster haf stackers because the have the extra unit for top and bottom so I have room to expand if I want but I can remove the units should I chose to.

Just redid my ole 920 in one of these with a E-Bay MOBO I scored that came in pristine.

Not trying to hijack the thread but its relevant.

Got this case, it only came with 2 fans which I relocated to the top, but had several old 120's laying around that were low db and filled it up with em, some old Artic Cool PCM fans that were brand new, Gentle Typhoons on the rear and side, and the original Noctua PF-12s on the old TRUE copper. basically filled it up with 120s and you'd be surprised how quite it is.

Been tuning it up all day, is what I'm on atm.

No side window or hinges, you might pay more for that, but if ya want something with a side window that moves air maybe something in the Antec line like my 1200? They make several that are pretty nice, but after building one for my sister in law awhile back using a bigger HAF I went that way.

And nabbed this for it without even reading too many reviews just because I've been using their PSU's awhile and wasn't going to be needing extreme power in it.

Or something like this depending on power of course, I just went with the Antec PSU because I'm a bit of a Antec Fanboi.

I just bought Fractal Arc XL to replace my Antec 1200, working on it right now (will be black and white theme with white cathodes), so far I'm impressed with the case, it has lots of room and flexibility (and thats coming from someone with antec 1200):D, quality is good, and fan options are excellent, I'm filling every fan slot, three in the roof, on in the back, one in the floor and two in the front, every fan slot takes 120mm or 140mm its awesome:thup:

Yeah, I'm still just using my old Antec 1200 in my main rig, it's still my old buddy and is modified on all the fans anyways.

If I were to rebuild from scratch today might try something else out, I did on the little HPTC rig, though it's not that little I guess he he.

Must say, that's a pretty slick looking case.

its the first one you posted, cost me $200 with all the fans and two 15" cathodes, pretty good deal for a full tower with top notch quality.

Arc XL is also a lot bigger than it seams from the photos, its at least as big as antec 1200, i think its a little wider but not as tall.

The Yate Loons in my system are perfectly happy spinning anywhere between 200 rpm and 1500rpm via voltage control. The Yates start annoying me acoustically above approximately 1100rpm, and they move hardly any air at 200rpm. I see no reason, not a single one, that I would want to install fans capable of higher speeds.

You have a quad core machine with one video card. Some higher end machines have 6 or more cores (and the top end multiple CPUs) and SLI setups aren't exactly uncommon, but some video card cooler designs dump a lot of heat into the case.

i agree with jeremy CT i have 1200 rpm nzxt fans in my case on a controller at ~7v with the radiator being in the front blowing warm air into the front of the case, and my 280x oc'd mining 24/7.. cpu is at ~55c full load @4GHZ and the 280x is tipping 70c. and total system is pretty quiet aside from the gpu fans spinning pretty fast but the xfx double d's are pretty darn quiet. i might have to turn the fans up to 12v is i put a second card in there i guess. but i hate loud fans lol.

as for the OP heed everyones advice and get a new case and CPU cooler.
