So my roommate just got a combo deal from newegg. In the combo came the MB listed in the thread title. The site and the manual say it only works with memory with 1.5 volts. The memory in the combo is 1.65v. will the memory undervolt itselft? do i even try to put the memory in? its been a long time since ive worked on a machine. i just dont want to screw anything up. thanks and have a good one!

Chances are the RAM is rated at 1.50v for everything except the advanced speed/timings.

For example, if it's rated as DDR3-1600CL9 @ 1.65v then it's probably built to run DDR3-1333CL9 (at the standard 1.50v) but tested good at the faster speed with higher voltage.
