One thing you will note in that link is that the FPS increase all the way up to the 980. That right there should tell you its not CPU limited.

Right. I jumped the gun on that first review I saw, my apologies . I knew it wasn't a hugely demanding game from reviews I saw when it came out. I know for multiplayer, a better cpu matters more than a high end gpu though.
