I dunno if this helps.

It has struck me that I made a silly mistake... Obviously since you boot up at 2.2, and it runs fine.. it cant be software.. so I don't know what I was thinking.. (sorry).

Can you try this for me.. Putting the memory on the highest divider you have, then running at 2.4?

I don't understand what you mean. If you want and have AIM can you IM me at Neovalentine.

Ok wrap your mind around this. I over clocked it to 2.52 mhz and it's been running good for over an hour now.

I also bumped the voltage to 1.55 too. I'm confuzzuled.

Its highly unlikely your CPU has stability problems at only 2.4Ghz.

I think the vcore bump did it, maybe it made up for a drop in vcore on stock speed?

What divider are you running at?

If it won't run at 1:1 at any of those speeds, or even underclocked, then its a memory or motherboard issue.

Of course, raising the vcore also helps the processor stay stable... and it will probably help if your power supply is dipping in voltage. To rule out the power supply, unplug some extra devices.

I did bump up the Vcore and ran it at 2.4 it still froze up. What I did if I remember was...

1. Get ****ed
2. Set it to 2.512 ghz
3. Set the Memory to 3:2
4. Set the AGP Voltage to 1.6

And I think that's it. It ran great all night long. I woke up confused as hell.

Neo

Is his fsb and multi correct for his cpu? 2.4c his multi is 12, fsb 185 to run underclocked?
Thought fsb was 133 for 2.4c's didnt realise there did 200 fsb versions.

Huh? When I took that screen pic I had set it to Auto detect then went in and under clocked it to 185. That's all.

um, are we missing that he wrote that he has pc2700 ram. that mean ddr 333... which mean it should run stock at 166 fsb. he is trying to run it at 200...

ANY ONE ELSE SEE THE PROBLEM HERE!!!!!

you are trying to run pc2700 ram at pc3200 speeds. if you up the voltage to the ram and maybe loosen the timings, you might get 200 on that ram, but i doubt it.

you are trying to run stock, but if you run the proc at stock, then you are massively oc'ing the ram. other option it to lower the ratio. no more 1:1. try 5:4. that should give you about 160 for the ram if you run at stock 200. then you even have a little oc'ing room.

EDIT: sorry, didn't see if trying at 185, but this is still a bug oc for that ram. try a ratio of 5:4. that should do it for you i am thinking. you are just (accidently, not intentionally) trying to oc the ram too much without extra voltage or looser timings.
