RedDawg, I am a little bit confused. The SK-7 works with 80mm fans just like the SLK-800. Are you referring to the SK-6, which only worked with 60mm fans? I agree that the SLK-800 is newer and better than the SK-7, but I just wanted to make sure that you realized that the SK-7 worked with 80mm fans.

i dont beleive the sk6 was even that bad for how cheap they are 12bucks i got mine for and a 6 dollar fan and it worked as well as my volcano 7+ on med i also found a sk6-bc that is a little smaller that didnt work as well as the sk6 though

got my chip in yesterday, currently running at 2060 (196*10.5) current temps are around 54 because i am usin a volcano 9 with a 80mm 30CFM fan till i get my smart fan 2 in the mail.

havin trouble with the memory though, epox 8rga+ is havin trouble with the dimm 2 and 3 slots.

what type of mem modules do you have? are you using 2 ddr modules? if so, were they purchased as a twin pack/set? or were they individually purchased? also, you might just try to use one ddr module and go from there to see how your cpu does... I'm not an expert on the epox boards, but check out their forums, mucho info there to absorb.

i have 2 buffalo pc3200 256 rams. they aren't pairs, but they are the same kind and bought at the same place and time. one chip works fine, but since it won't post with anything in the other 2 dimm slots, i don't know what is wrong. makes me think somethin is wrong with the board, not the ram chips.

I need a new processor for my other motherboard and i cant decide between the 0319 svc or the 0310 from excaliber what ill do is just test it out and see if it clocks higher/cooler/more stable than my current cpu and then put that in my current rig.

With my settup in my sig what would be a realistic expetation from a 0319???

i like my 0319 it goes just as high as my 2100+ does 2550 but at a lower voltage my 0310wpmw barly hit 2500

the 0319 i can run daily at 2550
the 0310 only ran@ 2434

my 0319 chip

well, i got one of these chips in...
got 2400 to boot into windows, running 1.85 vcore, but it BSOD's after a bit. My memory is a pc2700 XMS LL corsair (in SINGLE CHANNEL) that is overclocked to 200 mhz to match the 200 fsb. I had to relax the timings. I wonder if its because of my ram that is making it crash at that speed or is it because my 0319 chip is not as good... or my northbridge can't handle 200 fsb. I think my northbridge can handle 200 fsb since i can boot and be rock stable at 11.5x200.

BTW, my mobo is a7n8x 1.04 regular.

try a differnt multiplier and fsb 2400 comes easy for my chip but i have good cooling i dont know what you have. also i have dual sticks of ram running on my board

well, 11.5x 200 fsb works at 2.3 STABLE on a SLK-800 TT2 FAN on 1.775. What is your multiplier and fsb. Well, you have a watercooling setup so you'd expect it to hit 24 easy because of low heat leak.

I have 2 of these chips and they are the best $120 I have spent. Both do 2.4 Ghz at 12x200 @ 1.8v on an 8K3A with an AX-7 + std 80mm fan. I have to get an SLK-800 cuz I want to see the lighter side of 2.5 GHz...wheeee!

Best damn Athlons I have had so far.

hey skeezzee i got the same prblem like you. Anything that reached 2400 it didn't get to XP boot up screen. My temp is around 38-45. I think that something got to do with my gainward gf3 ti200. So I just keep trying increase a little by little to see if it can make to 2400.

Well, I wanted to add my experience into the mix. I just got a chip from SVC, and I'm priming it right now at 2.3G @ 1.65v, so far so good. When I first got the chip, I tested it at 200x11 and it ran prime95 for about 10 minutes, so I got greedy and tried 214x10.5(that's my max fsb) and it would freeze at prime95. I upped the voltage up to 1.7v and no go, once it even said I needed to repair winxp, but I booted, and set it back to 200x11 @ 1.6v and "burned in" the chip for an hour. Then I set it to 205x11 @ 1.6v for an hour, and it's been going strong. So now I'm sitting at 200x11.5 @ 1.65v and I'm gonna prime it for an hour and keep moving up by 50mhz increments until I reach my max. This chip is meant for my cousin, and she only needs about 2.2Ghz since she's only got a volcano9. If this chip can run at 2.5Ghz, I'm just gonna keep it and give her my 2100+ that's capable up to 2.43Ghz. I don't think she'll notice if I pull the ole switcheroo on her. So that's it for right now 200x11.5 @ 1.65v 35C load baby!!! I'm gonna keep updating.
