i guess then you can say OSX last 2 OS's were failures then because they were sold so cheap too.....

I must be out of the loop, are you referring to Lion and Leopard? I've seen those sell for $190.

Has anybody used Server 2012 (or 2010) before? I have access to Server 2012 via Dreamspark. How different are these from the home premium version of Windows8? Is there a way to convert the server version to the home version?

I've been using Windows 8 on my HTPC for a couple of weeks now and I love it. Metro is a great interface for a TV. I like 8 so much I'm about to upgrade my gaming system to it as well.

Now that you mention it , I do see similarities to the Media Center interface I've been using with no problem (it's actually pretty fast). Hmmmm. Still prefer 7 , but I won't (and can't) argue that anyone should agree with me. Personal preference is all.
