Team Green’s latest attempt at graphics card domination has landed… this time in the form of a GTX 780 Ti. EVGA has long been the number one seller of NVIDIA based products; and with all the enthusiast-level hardware they offer, it’s easy to see why. Today, we’ll be looking at yet another such enthusiast-level offering from EVGA – The GTX 780 Ti Classified. When EVGA slaps the “Classified” name on one of their GPUs, it usually means we get a graphics card loaded with features that performs great. Let’s get going and see if this holds true this time around as well!
It’s been a while since we reviewed the AMD reference design GPU14 graphics cards. However, now that the partner cards are becoming available, PowerColor has sent along their PCS+ R9 270X for us to have a look at. This card comes factory overclocked and has what appears to be a pretty stout cooling solution. The AMD R9 270X GPUs offer good performance at an affordable price, and I’ve been waiting to see how AMD partners incorporate these GPU14 cards into their product lineups. So, let’s see what PowerColor has been able to do as we run this card through our review process.
Today, we have an opportunity to look at a new full tower case from Fractal Design named the ARC XL. In the past, we have reviewed other smaller cases from them such as the ARC Midi and Mini, the Define R3 mid-tower, and the Full Tower XL R2. Gigabyte’s G1-Killer series motherboards bring a unique set of features coupled with a distinctive look, which makes them stand out in a crowd. We’ve already reviewed the G1. Sniper AMD offering and came away impressed with its performance, features, and rock solid stability. This time around, we move over to the Intel side and have a look at the G1. Sniper Z87. Armed with a discrete-like Creative audio solution and all the features the Z87 chipset offers, the G1. Sniper Z87 certainly looks good on paper. Corsair is a company that has certainly come a very long way. What started as a developer of cache modules has evolved to a company specializing in RAM modules and today has global presence with tens of series of retail products. During the past decade, Corsair has diversified into many segments of the market, offering everything from RAM, SSDs, cases, PSUs and cooling-related products. They have also released several gaming peripherals, such as keyboards, mice and audio devices. Today we will take a look at such a product, the Vengeance 2100 Dolby 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset.
ASUS has been know to pop out an ARES or MARS Dual GPU video card once in a great while and then include it in the ROG product line. They’re at it again with the newly released ROG MARS 760, which features dual GTX 760 GPU cores in a single card solution. Armed and ready with its dual GPU cores, 4 GB (shared) of onboard memory, and several other unique features, ASUS touts the ROG MARS 760 as outperforming the GTX Titan. It’s not only said to outperform the GTX Titan, but at a substantially lower price too. It all sounds good on paper, so let’s get this bad boy on the bench and see what ASUS has up their sleeve with the ROG MARS 760.
Cooler Master has brought to market their “Fourth Generation Bearing,” a bearing based on POM (polyoxymethylene). So far, they have built three fans with POM bearings. The second fan to use a POM bearing is the Jetflo, the very fan we will be reviewing here. The Jetflo has a number of features that make it an interesting fan indeed. In fact, the POM bearing is just the first of its features. So let us review them all, and put the fan through its paces.
NZXT first introduced the Phantom series of cases back in 2010, and they’re still at it three years later. Antec is a very well-known manufacturer of cases and power supply units, with an excellent reputation among gamers and enthusiasts. A few years ago Antec released their first power supply units aiming directly to gamers, the High Current Gamer series. Today, we are having a look at their latest revision, which sports an upgraded design and modular cables. It is the most powerful modular model which we will be testing today, the HCG-750M, a power supply capable of continuous 750W output.
The phrase “top of the line” can often be a loosely used term when describing a product. In the case of the Rampage IV Black Edition motherboard, ASUS makes no bones about it being just that. There have been several improvements made to enhance this X79 based board since the the Rampage IV Extreme was released a little over a year ago. Most importantly perhaps is the optimized design to fully support the new Ivy Bridge-E socket 2011 processors. As is the case with anything ASUS slaps the ROG name on, you can expect an enormous amount of features and great aesthetics to top it off. Initial impressions tell a story of much more than a simple X79 refresh going on here, so let’s check it out!
