ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA Motherboard Review

Today we’ll have a look at the ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura AM3+ motherboard. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen anything new in the AMD camp and change is always welcome. The 970 Chipset isn’t new but ASUS has come back with a nice set of features to update this platform. On top of that they’ve packaged them in a very nice looking, all new board. With the new AMD socket nearly a year away, it’s nice to see some new AM3+ motherboards with added features such as USB 3.1 and M.2 SSD functionality. One other interesting tidbit is the new Aura feature which allows the user to customize color and rhythm of the on-board RGB LEDs. For those who enjoy a bit of bling, this should be right up your alley.

GIGABYTE Announces the Z170 March OC Madness Competition

OCZ Trion 150 480GB SSD Review

In a bit of a change from my last few reviews on motherboards, I will be looking at a new SSD! Today we will be reviewing OCZ’s latest offering, the OCZ Trion 150. If you remember, we reviewed the Trion 100 last year. The drive was budget oriented, focused on reads more so than writes, and performed pretty well around. OCZ has updated the Trion series and while the specifications are remarkably similar, some reworking of the controller and firmware, as well as a switch in NAND, should allow for a bit better performance while still being at a very affordable price point. Mushkin atom 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Review

Following in the wake of the Mushkin IMPACT review we come in today with the Mushkin atom! Instead of looking at a flash drive built for raw speed we take a bit of a detour today.
