Hello, I'm new here. I have a very odd question. I hear people overclocking their XP-M 2500+ or 2600+ processors at great speeds. My question is that I have a compaq presario notebook that has the Athlon XP-M 2800+ processor. Will that processor on the notebook work on a desktop computer? I have the NF7-S rev2 and I was thinking about purchasing a XP-M 2600+, but is it possible if I can use the processor that's in the notebook? I never heard of XP-M 2800+ processors being sold as OEMs. I've only seen the processor in notebooks. Does anyone know that has a notebook with the XP-2800 processor uses a socket A or uPGA socket 563 and what voltage is uses? I would check for myself, but my notebook is at home and I'm currently on a vacation. :D
