go go intelligent battery power supply
20121102_114543.jpg

shame I didnt have the intelligence to find out its a floored concept first

how does it sound?
no idea... takes six hours to charge :D

the noise battles at the processing stage.... you cant clean up what is already floored really :rain:

the chemical reaction of the battery will cause ripples in the supply.
and the filters to clean it have to constantly adjust to the decreasing load.
so unless this device performs miracles its a $400 door stop

on the plus side I talked with someone who does know what there talking about :)

Bwaaaahh? I can't wait to see this final product. Keep at it!

its hours of fun.
everyday you get to reesearch and talk to people and the goal posts move.... some days you find you were even running up the wrong end of the field

here`s a couple of mind blowing factoids that spoil my fun.

no1. theres no computer in existence capable of producing real time audio (in the purest sense)

no2. the computers role is time critical to a degree that makes you feel helpless and wish it luck. re-clocks only fix the amplitude of the signal i.e. the 0 and 1`s are clearer defined but the time smear is uncorrectable.

I have hundreds of these little issues plague my day now :-/

just enjoy the challenge and dont release anything mediocre into the herd or its all over from the start

EDIT:
blv6.jpg
had to show you this dubious set up

six power supplies, a watercooled GPU.... a quad core under abuse... and a temporary look that suggests the pets got too involved on v2 and by v6 nobody dare come near  just kidding but for someone that studied health and safety... its no healthy example :D

Was getting some feedback issues, after a little tinkering I've concluded that condenser mic's suck for live music. I'll continue using my Rode M1 dynamic, though the Rode M2 and Ashton CMV100 condensers have to go. Have a Sennheiser E835 dynamic coming for mic 2.....

Bidding on a Behringer Feedback Destroyer Pro DSP1124P on eBay too.... If I can get it cheap then its mine, otherwise I'll do without. :)

Considering an Audix OM2 mic, though I think its about time I got a Shure SM58. Sure the Shure's aren't that great anymore, though I'm definitely familiar with using them. I've never been that confortable using my current mics (Rode M1/M2 + Ashton CMV100)

If the above is enough to keep you busy and coming back for more, you're doing something right.

Finally!

This isn't the final config. I can't get the back panels on the console because I need some 90 degree power connectors for the amps. The roomie will eventually move out and take the large PS3 with him, freeing up some space. Also, my PS3 and possibly the 222ES will have their places taken by an Oppo BDP-105 next month.

Betcha you're looking forward to a warmer winter this year :D

It's nice to visit the snow when you want and not vice versa.

Sexy monitors, what are those?

Edit: Also, nice crotch-shot of yourself in the tv reflection.

just made a new addition to my budget system used an old car audio fosgate p3 from my old truck setup, added some feet to be a downfire . bottom slot ported sub sounds real nice since reusing the sub and amp was able to get the 12v psu which you can control the voltage up to 15v i put it up to 14.4 which the amp is rated for 300w rms @14.4v psu cost 40 bucks, surround total is now $290

Audio: True, and my new audio gear heats up the place a bit, too. I do miss living in the snow. Beats yardwork and pulling weeds.

nightelph: It could've been worse, such as nekkid!

Got some new parts so I'll be updating pics again. Oppo BDP-105 and Emotiva interconnects which are on Christmas sale. Tidied up the front a bit more. Fully balanced from Oppo through my amps now!

Now I just need bigger speakers.

First picture is of my displayed Sennheiser HD280 Pro cans, on the homemade custom stand.

Second picture is of my Grado SR-80i cans that I just finish modding.

Third is of my 5.1 home theater setup, in our living room (until we find a house, then we'll have a dedicated home theater room).

FWIW, the Plasma IQ BLOWS LCD out of the water. They are not even close - my parents have an XBR LCD Sony and the picture sucks on it.
