Currently looking at the MSI MAG120i at £169 on Scan UK. So my budget would be £150-200 (or around $250). I'd love to have a Secret Labs Titan Evo of course, but call me old fashioned... I just don't think a chair is worth that kind of money, even in today's economy!

My main needs are comfort for long periods of time, good arm support, breathable material and must be fully adjustable. I like that you can set the MAG120i to 180 degrees but I'll probably never lean back that much in all honesty. But after working in an office for 10 hours some days, I know how important posture and adjustment is. I plan to work from home as I venture into my new business of graphical design. So it's not just for gaming, but I am a big gamer also.

I don't care how a chair looks. I just want it to be solid, comfortable and not stupidly expensive! Any suggestion will be appreciated, whether it's from someone in the UK (like me), or beyond. Although I find that Americans usually pay a lot less for things than we do over here, so some things don't always translate at a similar price.

Cheers!

Personally I would go with an executive style chair instead of gaming. I tried a couple and my son uses one and they are hard as a rock to me. I picked up one that is full mesh and like it so far. You might check those out instead.
Thanks I'll keep that in mind! I thought gaming chairs would be more comfortable but I've seen a few people saying the same thing as you. It seems like a really difficult item to "buy right" and I know of nowhere you can go and sit in them to try them out. Cheers!

Look on Facebook marketplace/Craigslist/office warehouse locations for a used herman miller or steelcase chair. Can generally find them for a few hundred dollars and will likely be more comfortable and ergonomic than most (all?) Gaming chairs

Is this chair compatible for 8 to 10 hours sitting?

I have yet to see any gaming chair stand up to 8-10 hours of use. I have a ErgoPrime airCentric 2 and its rated for 350lbs which I dont come close to even with my Covid 25 still hanging around. That said the seat cushion is too thin and I can feel the bolts digging into me, and its grown more uncomfortable as I have used it. I spend about 12-14hrs a day in my office (Work from home) and this $500 ergo task chair cant keep up.

My suggestion is to always get the best quality chair you can, and if you use it for 8-10hrs its worth spending $500+ your *** will thank you.

I've been looking for a comfortable "high back" chair for years and haven't found it yet. I tried one that I ordered, I don't remember the name, it was about 300+ but went back because it wasn't any better than the junk gaming chair I have now. If anyone finds one please post it.

I love my Secret Lab Titan... I'm not tiny (6' 200lbs), and it has stood up to constant use (8-10 /day) since I bought it (in fairness, it's 1.5 years old and in the middle of it's 3-year so it's doing as it should, lol). I'd consider it a gaming chair and it still feels as good (firm!!!) on my bum as day 1. :)

I can't speak for the chair in the OP, however....

I'm still in the "Grab the best office chair you can afford" crowd. Like anything "gaming" related you're going to pay an upcharge for the same quality.

If you have a furniture store or Staples/Officemax nearby, it's worth taking the trip to test "drive" some. Got a ~$200 desk chair from Staples back in college and it was comfy and solid due to a metal frame. Lasted almost a decade until the pleather started to crack and some paint on the frame was bubbling, tossed it when I moved.

Replaced it with a ~$300ish La-Z-Boy from Costco when I got to the new place. Doesn't have the metal frame, but still solid.
