can i crossfire a 6xxxx series card with 7xxx series card

im thinking about buying a 7850 but i already got a 6870. im just wondering if i can crossfire them? i cant find a true answer online. i feel like i should no this but i suck.

Nah, don't think you can CFX cards from different generations.

You cant really even crossfire cards out of a certain group range. In this particular situation your way out of luck even for hacked drivers, since the 7xxx series uses a whole new architecture.

yep.. what they said. your best results in xfire would be to double up your card.

theres that one board you could do it with, you can "slifire" any cards really i dont remember what it was though
