Fellow coders, I've got a neat project idea.
I'm buying a house with a detached garage - where I'll house my tech bench for repairs and such. I'm also using the garage as a general hangout.
So I'll have a few screens running - and one idea that I had was a PC connected to a small TV, 22" or so.
This TV, I'd like to run some kind of custom news screen - like the kind you see on your local news station. An RSS ticker along the bottom, the time, streaming video from some source (local, youtube, wimp), a look at recently added media...
What do we think is the best way to go about this?
A website?
An XBMC Skin?
