dead usb ports on my abit an9 32x fatal1ty board

i recently installed two new bfg tech geforce 9800 gt oc cards and a kingwin 1000w power supply on my abit an9 32x fatal1ty board.after first power up,i
noticed that three usb ports were dead(one on board and two in front of case connected by extension cable.If anybody has any clue about this problem,please let me know.thanks.
