It's safe as in it won't damage anything, however they could conflict with each other creating unreliable results. You should choose just one. In reality there is no need for more than one anyhow.
And you can have both installed [I do] and only turn on precision when needing to update firmware [and I disabled all of the RGB stuff at the same time with it]. I just don't let it auto-start.
I've had good luck with EVGA and the company has treated me well over the years. I refuse to buy MSI GPUs as I had a horrible and frustrating series of experiences with them years ago. It's a grudge I can't seem to shake.
