Both of these are in the 700-750ish range.
An example build:
This one has usb3. Add $ for a case, after market cooler. Add a card r/w if you wish(cheap). Comes with free $10 card and free 4gb flash drive.

there's better branded ram, but ocz's not "bad". And it's 1333 but there's not much diff in the 1600 other than oc. Has upgrade path.

Another:
No usb3 tho. However there is a usb3 version of this board. It's and excellent mobo. It also has the 890/850 chipsets, overclocks very well(better than the Gig), and has very easy to use oc'ing software. It can automatically do it for you.

I think the stock cooler is ok if you dont oc too much and can upgraded later. But it seems you have the budget for it now, which is better.
I'd like to see recommends/comments on this.

Thanks for lookin all that up, I didn't see this post before i posted the last one

I would stick with the 740 also, stick with DDR3 ram it takes less volts and is the future.

I kinda want to and save the 80 something dollars but with the extra little bit i wont have to worry about trying to unlock the extra core nor will i have to overclock the cpu right away since i believe the triple core runs at 3.0Ghz vs the quad runs at 3.4... I dunno... i still haven't made up my mind just yet but i do think that kit is a pretty good deal

That kit for $757 is probably my best bet
The only way i think to get any of those parts any better would be exchanging some of them for worse, cheaper parts... If that makes any sense lol

If some of you are bored and feel challenged to find me a better list of the same parts for about the same price go right ahead lol

Newegg has a pretty good kit here for $757 including a $70.91 discount

Let me know what u guys think please
Personally I like all the parts in this deal except the motherboard. If you do get this I would suggest buying some MOSFET heatsinks and applying them before you install the board. You'll also need an after market heatsink to OC very much. The Hyper 212 Plus is a good cooler for a reasonable price. If you're NOT going to OC (or are willing to stick to a very mild one) you can do without the MOSFET heatsinks and the after-market cooler.

The other parts in the deal are very good choices ... :)

I found a case i like alot more so im looking at a bunch of 2 part combos to see if i can build a rig similar for about the same price

Heres the case i like, It has 3 200mm fans with a knob on the case to control the fan speed and lights on the fans http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119194

I want to stick with the Phenom IIx4 965 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

If you dont like the mobo in that kit your more then welcome to suggest another one of similar price or a little more :D

Also im trying to find a decent mid range card for my budget build and im terrible at picking out mid range cards
I was hoping you guys could look this one over and tell me if its a piece of crap or not or even if its compatible lol
The only really bad this i see is that its DDR3 instead of DDR5 and the Stream Processors seem low at 128 which im not really sure what that is lol
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134113

Or this card seems decent http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161294 Or this one is very slightly different from the last one but pretty much the same http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161269

This one seems decent too http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161269
Or even this one... I dunno which is better, It doesn't even say if its a 128 bit or 256 bit... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134122

Id keep looking :) Im not keen on xfx psu's but i know there are better options for the price out now than the 5830. maybe not significant, but try and find a combo with one of the 6k series radeon or another card that got the recent price chop due to the 6k series. Just my opinion of the recent market i suppose.

compare the 6850 and 5830 in benchmarks, games and such and I think the 6850 is a clear winner for the sameish price (or $20 more taken to account your combo deal)

I don't know about the XFX 650watt PSU, but the XFX Black Edition 750 & 850 are made by Seasonic and are excellent.

PCI Express 2.1 x16?? I dunno if thats compatible with PCI Express 2.0x16.... Is it? I have no idea lol None of the mobo's i looked at had PCI Express 2.1 x16 slots...

The main thing i'm looking for in a graphics card is that ill be able to run a 2nd identical card later down the road
Most of the cards i look at are 128bit, Does that mean that pretty much any 256bit card with the same memory is automatically better?

I read in the video card part of the forum about a guy lookin to upgrade to a card around $150 ("Sapphire HD 5770 1 Gb DDR5 for about $140") which is about what im looking for
and the guys said "Even a 120 $ GTX460 w 768 mb will beat the 5770"

So i'm guessin i should get one of those...

Thanks I'll definitely look into those suggestions :D Please keep in mind that im lookin for a psu that will support 2 graphic cards, But i only plan on getting one for now, So im thinking ill need a 750 watt right?

You know i could of sworn the 6830's were $189 but newegg has em at 10 more. maybe it was a deal i saw for that earlier.

2.1 is compatible with 2.0 and i think is suppose to be compatible with pcie 3.0 when that comes out.

I have a 5770 in a family members computer and it plays all the games i was throwing at it just fine, bogging down with ultra settings when alots going on but toning down the settings has great playable graphics that sit at smooth fps. that being said beating a 5770 for 120~ is a sound budget friendly choice.:bday:

I didn't like the board for an overclocker because it lacked MOSFET coolers, which is important. Otherwise it's an OK board for the price. You can always add the MOSFET heatsinks, it's not that expensive or difficult.

If I were building a machine I'd use the ASUS M4A89GTD @ $135 but it doesn't have USB 3. It's USB 3 brother is $10 more.

This is the brother mobo right? I found it in a combo with some cool ram

you wont be able to crossfire the GTX with that board. you'll have to find a good psu to combo that 57xx with to beat the price of the xfx 58xx combo. The 750w has vc combos.

You can only Crossfire ATI cards, SLI is for Nvidia. When I was looking for my motherboard, I found it hard to find one that did SLI and Crossfire. Most only do Crossfire if I recall correctly.
