Should a 55w Peltier and a PEP66 be sufficient to cool my P3 FC-PPGA 850e? Should I use a better peltier and/or a PAL6035? I've planned to make a converter so I can use a Papst 120mm 55cfm. I don't want to go too extreme btw.

Currently I'm using the standard heatsink which works well when NOT under stress, ;)

You should be fine for a moderate O/C. I would go with a 78 watt pelter - in case you want to go further later on . Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! How about this TEC?

I got these specifications from a Swedish webshop.

TEC 72W
40x40mm
Imax=8.5A
Vmax=15.4V
DTmax=70 C
Potted

Cost 229Sek(~$23 USD)

Worth the price? ;)

Oh, I forgot. It comes with a aluminum cold plate but I will replace it with a copper one instead.

im all about ressurecting old post!

hell yeah 78watts would be awesome!!! i bet you could cool that maybe to about 5c while running at 800 now thats a massive overclock!
