Well,

I finally switched the clip on my heat sink (nothing fancy, copper base, alumnium fins, single fan) as the clip that came w/ the Heat sink sucked, and I broke a clean, error free, Gig last night...YaaaHoooo!

Can't believe the difference, 10 degree drop w/ the new clip and AS. So...question. I'm running 25/35 Celsius (Idle/Load) @ a Gig but I'm seeing an occasional spike to almost 50 C using MBM 4. The spike is momentary and always drops back to 35-40C at the next sample interval.

Is this normal? I'm using Seti, Folding and 3DMark01 to warm up the 850. Does the processor get extremely warm for brief periods and then drop back down when performing large calculations or should I be seeing a constant temp???? Thanks in advance
