programs missing from Add/Remove Vista

Was having problems getting zone alarm to uninstall, gave up on waiting and rebooted. Now around 75% of my programs are missing from "Programs and Features" any idea how to get the list back? I dont have system restore running, so I have no backups.

Now wondering why I'm not running system restore, seems to come in handy every 6 months or so

You might want to try and repair Vista, following the Startup Repair guide below. The Startup Repair tool was actually misnamed by the Vista RE team, as it can be used to fix a number of Vista components even when you can't boot to the OS.
