Why is my Ti 4400 being seen as a Ti 4200?

Hey all

Whats up with this? I had the card installed and everything was working just fine.I removed the card to apply some beter thermal paste and now windows XP says i got a GeForce 4 Ti4200. What the hell is going on here?

Are your clock speeds the same or have they changed?

try reinstalling the drivers and see if that works and is your windows xp patched ? (SP-1) ?

that's funny. i had the exact same problem. i slapped on a couple of ramsinks, and replaced the thermal tape with some as3, and it worked fine. but now, after i had taken it apart again and put it back together, its seen as a 4200 instead of a 4400. the clock speeds are fine. however it does say that there's only 64mb of video memory. i have the win-xp service pack 1, i tired reinstalling my drivers, and i even tried resetting the bios, but nothing worked!

No they are still the same (STD) not changed them cos this card runs Very Very hot.
