Speaking of bang for your buck, when I was US Army in Japan, the going rate was 1 USD for the entire weekend. Whatever you could get done.
I remember Sy-phillis and a gon-oria too. Very popular when I was in the Navy to say the least!

$1 a day for 2000 days....sounds about right. Remember, whatever you can do at that period of time. I say it's worth it. Load up on penicillin and you're good to go!
