hi so i just upgraded, well changed my board to the Asus model from the gigabyte. Mainly because the asus allows cpu OC and has pci-e 2.0, I wanted abit more perf out of my xfx 6850 and system.
I have 700w psu, athlon 645 x4 3.1ghz, kingston hyperx 1600mhz 8gig.
ran passmark perfromance test 7.0 on both systems several times scores are:
gigabyte: mem 1400, 1600mhz
cpu 3900- 4000@ stock,
graphics 2100-2200 stock
new Asus: mem 800, 1600mhz
cpu 2900-3300, stock and Oc test to 3.3ghz
graphics 2550 stock all are average after several tests.
seems my gpu is doin better on the Pci-e 2
can anybody shed some light on the lower mem and cpu scores please?
