After having installed W7 a gazillion times, I'm stumped. While attempting to install W7, I get "no drives were found." My Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 mobo works fine. The HDD in question is a sata 2 WD Black 640gb. I used 2 of these in RAID-0 with the same mobo a short time ago, and were working today, in RAID-0, before I separated them.

1. The drive is recognized in the BIOS.
2. W7 install recognizes my storage drive.
3. I've tried IDE & AHCI, even tried loading drivers from the mobo disk.
4. The WD has been tried before and after formatting in a different system.
5. I've tried both drives in all sata sockets. Neither are recognized.
6. Both drives work in other systems.

I can't seem to figure this out. I'm simply trying to get 1 drive to work (no raid or anything). Just installed an SSD and it was a breeze. Now I can't get a simple HDD to work. :( I need a :grouphug:
